ENFERNO SANCHEZ

Iwatched Summah as she lay in bed on her stomach as her elbows supported her upper body and a book in her face. The smile on her face was everything and I was happy to see her happy while she was around me. Her hair was freshly done in a few braids with curls all over her forehead. I think the girl’s called that shit baby hair even though she was grown ass fuck the shit looked good on my baby. The slow jams that played from the Bluetooth speaker that was connected to her phone.

“Mami,” I called out to her as her long eyelashes flitted in my direction.

“Yes.” She said answered knowing that I loved when she answered me like that even though I knew that her ass was being sarcastic.

“Come over here.” I moved the pillow so that she could sit next to me, but she shocked me when she sat in my lap.

Leaning her back against the arm of the couch she looked into my eyes with a smirk on her face and I just watched her.

“What Enferno?”

“Why are you so scared to marry me?” I quizzed her as her smile faded and she looked away.

“You hurt me Enferno. I know why I was at your house, but you told me one thing and told my brother’s another thing.” She released a deep sigh. “In the back of my head, I’m always wondering if you ever really liked me at all.” She said making me angle my head to look at her.

The sadness was written all over her face and it damn near killed me that I was the reason that I was the reason behind her sadness.

“Can I be honest with you?” I asked as she looked at me with those sad brown eyes.

“Only if it’s going to make the situation better. If it’s something bad I really don’t wanna even know.” She told me.

“I saw you as soon as I pulled up to that party.” I honestly told her. “I saw you as soon as we pulled up to that party and you were sitting down with your phone in your hand and I’m sure that you were reading a book. The shit blew me away and you penetrated my heart before I even knew that you were their sister. When I heard you screaming when the shots went off it was like I couldn’t leave you.” I shook away the way she had me feeling to tell her the truth. The only thing that could make our shit better was if I told her the truth.

“I’mma be honest and say that if I didn’t meet you there’s no telling where your brothers would be because they stole from me. So, I look at it like maybe it was meant for us to meet because in a way you saved them, and you also saved me in the process.” I let her know.

“How?” she asked as she sat up on my lap to peer deeper into my eyes.
